Is melamine tableware toxic?
Melamine tableware is non-toxic. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has set the daily intake limit of melamine at 0.2mg/kg bw. It is safe for a child weighing 20kg to consume less than 4mg per day. Moreover, experiments have proved that the melamine leaching from diamine tableware is very, very low, which proves that it is safe.
